Anybody remember the Saturday Night Live spoof on the movie "China
Syndrome" called "Pepsi Syndrome"?
This is from the Carter administration for all you young
whippersnappers out there, but the gist of the skit was if you poured
Pepsi on the control panel of a nuke plant, you would cause a
meltdown, but Coke or anything else was OK. Of course Belushi spilled
the Pepsi, and Jimmy had to save the day.
Good stuff...
This also reminds me of the "throttle control stick" for an old lawn
mower of mine. The stick was just that - a stick jammed down the carb
to hold the choke open.
Nobody ever asked to borrow that mower...
