I just broke free a bolt by slowly lowering the car from a hydraulic pump while a
long breaker bar and impact socket were held in place by a cement block. We have
allen key bolts there that can be extended with a pipe for a mechanical advantage.
Could be risky, but it worked for me. I, also, have an impact driver. It's a blue
mechanical device that you hit. It moves a few degrees with each blow.
I always use a big C clamp to retract the brake pistons. I can turn the swivel head
at the end of the screw threading the piston back into the caliper while closing the
clamp bit by bit. Bob
