Hi all...
Hope everyone's summer has been going swimmingly well...
I was taking a little walk down 'The Internet Lane' too after clicking on
the link Kent left.
A fine British Car Site - that's also a help with some fine print!
Clicking through, I was reminded of cars I had forgot - like the Jaguar 66
XJ13 Prototype.
And some others I can't seem to get out of my head - like the Aston DB5-C
Drop Head.
While Looking for V8 content @ AC Cars, I found early version another of
one of my favorites an AC V8 Prototype.
On to Healey; for another early favorite of many, and at auction is getting
quite tony, and I don't just mean red!

Having been invited to Amelia again this year, by some friends who usually
have some stakes placed, in the RM Auction there, prices can be
breathtaking!
Amelia is a great spot to take in a whole lot of Hollywood well away from
Monterey.
Lots of "remarkable cars" to be found clicking the links, rather than,
going to all
the trouble to set up the lawn-chair on some. I'm sure, there is some
remarkable
V8 content in there some where! :-)
Enjoy!

(PS: Roger - I seem to recall the Limp-mode syndrome, often being caused my
marginal electrical contact in the TCU connector on the transmission -
Possibly caused by sitting as you suggested.. you know, no fresh oil fumes
leaking from somewhere, to keep oxidation at bay :-)
(PPS. Bryan - I think John raised a good point - it should be worth
something to try to avoid a salvage title, you never know....)
(PPPS. Bryan your recounting of blasting across or up the spine of the
Green Mountains through fresh snows in a V8 brings back some great and glorious
memories ! :-)
