[V8] 123D, 1977....

Anyone know of anyone who would care to have an Engine out of a Mercedes
300D circa 1977, I think it was a W123?  The chassis said the model was
"123D" on the plate in the drivers door, and it was a 08/77 build.

Just found one in our local JY, they are trying to drop the whole car (which
is in terrible shape) for 600 dollars, but I'd bet you could get it for 1/2
that or so.  If you're interested, its in Fargo!  So, likely out of the
range of everyone else on the list.  Just thought it interesting.  Maybe
this will spark some ramblings of all the "they don't build them like they
used to" merc lovers on the list we have.

It was a very peculiar color, like a creamy burnt orange, and it had the
selective yellow headlights on the inner light, and that big funny grill.
