Hey, well I went to Absolute German Auto Wrecking in Seattle this  
last weekend to pick up a starter for the "parts car"....Anyway, it  
was supposed to be $50, and he found it on the rack, and said  
$40.....then layed the beautiful freshly Bosch rebuilt starter on the  
counter.....Wanted to go thru the yard, but it was raining an inch/ 
hr, and I left with the starter.  Note the chunk of housing missing  
near the solenoid on the old one.  Shift fork and slider assembly  
disintegrated on the old one, and looks like the solenoid blew out  
the casing....Starter guy said he'd never seen that in 40 yrs.....Tom
