[V8] Ignition wires cost?

I am going to try some VW 16V plug wires (one of my race cars BTW) for the  
V8. I will try physically swapping them to see if they will work, they 
actually  have the same ends ect, though I need to check the length.
And I have found some for less than 50 a set ( under 100 for two  vs 168).
