Roger, y'all are depraved . . .

Oooh baby! Keep up the good work! ;-) ;-) ;-)

Nick, if you are able to replicate/fabricate/obtain diagrams for the towing package parts, I'd be
REAL interested in this. I've got a Da'Lan hitch which requires drilling through the trunk floor and
I somehow don't think that piece of sheet metal is overwhelmingly sturdy.

Finally, got a flyer from the local FLAPS "Ace Advance", used to be "Discount Auto Parts", they
renamed themselves to get further up the alphabet in the phone book.

Anyway, page six has a blurb for remanufactured engines, get 10% off this that and the other - they
usual imprecations to come in and spend more money on the ole' dawg econobox.

The picture of the engine looks suspiciously like a 4.2 Audi V-8. I'm not 100% sure, but there is a
very strong resemblance, I recognize the timing belt rollers, the crank sprocket, the location of
the filler cap, the water pump pulley, etc. It isn't a 3.6 because the cam covers are different, I
think this is a later COPS engine. Now if I could figure out how to shoehorn this rebuilt engine
into the raggedy Dodge Omni pickup behind the barn . . .

(And dollars to donuts they do NOT have this engine in their product line, never did and never will
- but it is a good illustration for their sales flyer, all modern and high-tech-ish and all.)

Best Regards,

Mike Arman
