I've heard told that parr of this recal is going to include a reflash that adds ina safety feature common on othe drive by wire makes, from an inside source.

This will basically kill the throttle (close it) when the brake and gas pedal are pressed simitaneously.  

I am pretty confident its software, one reason being its crossing platforms.  The programing is the most universal thing amongst one car manufacturer.
