I had thought of Scott's site after the fact, but yes, invaluable info. I'm
thinking while I do this I'm going to take all the Tech drawings in ETKA and
color all the bolts and make a table with torque specs by color for the
archive, perhaps. Might be usefull.

On "Torque to Yield" bolts, or stretch type bolts as I think some call them,

Where can I get these? I suppose dealer only? It would be a good idea to
use these types when rebuilding the suspension I didn't think about it. I
was going to get all stainless hardware w/nylocs, but the stretchable bolts
are superior at what they do, technically. Obviously you can't re-use them
though..

we learned a bit about this type of bolt in mechanics of materials. Its a
very similar bolt to those which you use on the big end or a piston rod.
You want a necked down bolt and then it actually gains most of its holding
power from the stretching when you torque it to spec.
