Sorry dude, my Lago car and my 5-speed do not run hot enough to worry  
about my reservoir melting.  The Pearl car did seem hotter in the  
engine bay, but it came to me with 215K and green coolant in the tank/ 
lots of neglect, and I suspected it needed a new radiator.  Driving  
my Lago car back from Denver in 02 when I first got it(mid  
summer)....got really hot coming over Teton Pass(10% grade).  Not  
knowing better, I had the AC on and ripping up the pass.  It had just  
been serviced by the dealer(fresh timing belt...etc....), and being  
denver, they put in 5w-30(was serviced in the winter)....which may  
have been fine in the mountains in denver...but waaaay too thin for  
90 degrees ripping up a pass with the AC on......If your car is  
running "real hot" in Fargo in the winter, then sorry to tell you,  
but it sound's like you have yet another problem....Rent one of those  
infrared heat sensors, and see what the temp of the radiator/motor  
really is.....Radiators are pricey.....Tom
