[V8] Not just headache, butbone numbing cold too!

Hey Kent....Yes, you win the award....HUGE headache.....I've always  
loved the name "Bad puppy"...and have remembered that.  Thinking of a  
personalized plate when I got the 5-speed...BADPUP was one of the  
candidates(still haven't got a personal plate).  GDTRFB was another 
(and for the non Grateful Dead people out there)...it stands for  
"Going down the road feeling bad".  ITSAV8 was also in the running,  
as at some point I planned on actually going across the country to  
Carlisle and parking it next to Ron's car, but since I heard he's  
moved to Andros Island, and has a booming "Thatched roof" business, I  
passed on that.......;-)  If this was an old school VW site, there'd  
be scores of people who had a vehicle fire story...Friend of mine was  
a VW guy back in the 80's in Colorado.  They found a 68 bus in mint  
condition and fixed it up and on the way up Vail Pass, smoke  
appeared.  No fire extinguisher, side of the road.....burned itself  
out.  Dirt poor, and had put all their money in this bus(to sell),  
they cleaned it up/rewired/redid/repainted....and sold it to a young  
hippie girl who's dad was a lawyer(in Vail)......Motor siezed 2  
months later.....Believe that was the reason for one of them to move  
to WA.....But 2?......Sorry for your loss Kent.  Did you ever figure  
out what was the issue?....Tom
