Another potential is that the subframe bushings were weak and knocking the front around could kill them and  misalign the subframe.  Just an idea to check.  Sounds like something could have been bumped out of cal.

Thanks for the reply.  I haven't done the carriage.  I replaced the damper 10k ago, the steering rack was rebuilt 10k ago - but I could re-adjust anyway.  Thanks I will look into it.
