[V8] No start, list of codes.

... I think the throttle pedal thing may be with newer cars ... perhaps even
the '92 and on models. Scott Mockry's site says that if you turn the
ignition on with the jumper shorted it starts output test mode ... there's
no question that the sequence of codes you saw before was a result of the
system going into output test mode; I was going to respond but then saw that
Tom had caught it already.
Yes, it sounds like your reference sensor has crossed over ... some times
cranking an engine that will not start will give a spurious speed sensor or
reference sensor code (reporting that a good sensor is bad), but there are
enough other symptoms that the sensor is bad that it is the likely culprit.

Tom,
I did not get near the foot pedals, but I must have done something wrong. I
went back today and carefully went through the proceedure again, clearing
the codes first by pulling fuse #27 for a minute. 15 sec. of crank, and the
only thing blinked out was 2112, which is:
2112 Timing (62 degrees BTDC) reference sensor

So that means replace that "ignition reference sensor" as has been
discussed, correct?
Thanks,
Bryan
