[V8] window won't go up

When I pulled my panel the only thing I wish I had was another pair of hands. The window fell when I was putting it back together and put a 10 inch scratch in the window tinting. An extra pair of hands makes the job much easier.

That's how I did mine...

 The "remove outer door panel" step sounds daunting, but in fact it is not.
 There are something like 4 bolts that hold the door together (I only have
 BTDT on the front doors though). You need to be careful not to break
 anything as you don't completely remove the door panel ... the electrical
 and pneumatic connections remain at the bottom of the door, so the outer
 panel lifts up and pivots out from the top.

 One thing I discovered long ago is that the 5 pin connector which attaches
 to the window switches is in fact two connectors that snap together. Rather
 than figure out a way to get power from the battery to the window motor, you
 can usually work around an electrical connection issue creating the "goes
 one way but not the other" symptom. What you do is to slip the two pin
 piece from the 3 pin piece on the switch. Install the 3 pin piece on the
 door switch as it was originally, but rotate the 2 pin piece 180 degrees and
 install it on the switch. Now up will be down and vice versa, and the
 chances are you'll be able to get the window back up. No need to pull seats
 or door panels, only the arm rest.

 I took pictures to document this procedure a long time ago, but I believe
 this was during the days when the KB was down, so the procedure was never
 fully documented.

 The port-side rear window on my '90 V8 won't go up. I pressed the down
 button, it went down OK. But hitting the up button -- no go. So I did
 a write-up on it, based on my original write-up for my '89 10V 200
 (BTDT). It basically tells you how to put power to the motor, bypassing
 all the switches and switch wiring.

 In a moment of prophecy, I noted "If the window still does not move,
 you have a problem with the motor or regulator." So of course mine
 still won't go up. I thought it would be an easy matter to remove
 the panel and take out the motor, but *no-oo-oo*, the V8 door is
 built like a tank. There is sheet metal covering the entire inside,
 with a few holes barely big enough to get a hand in.

 The manual says:
 * remove door trim panel
 * remove inner door panel
 * remove regulator mounting bolts, and remove
    regulator from inner door panel

 They're kidding, right? Anyone have a better "how-to"?

 Thanks.
