[V8] Power Steering Hose - High Pressure

I have a question on a high-pressure power steering hose (& power steering
pump) fitment for 1990 V8s. I'm suspecting that Audi made a mid-year change
in the fitment of a power steering pump and accompanying hoses. As a
result, it seems there are at least two sets of power steering pumps and
accompanying hoses that are not interchangeable.

I know this because I've just received a new genuine OEM direct replacement
PS high-pressure hose from an online parts outfit, but it won't fit -- No, I
didn't get the wrong parts by mistake, the hose is the correct one according
to the application information. It just that my PS pump and the new hose
won't be a good match, because a banjo bolt for the high-pressure hose of
mine is smaller than the new OEM unit. That's not all, although the end
fitting on the other side is the same as mine, the end pipe of the OEM unit
is kinked quite a bit, and not being straight as mine.

So, does anyone know where to get the "other" high-pressure power steering
hose? Do I need to go see a local friendly Audi dealership? I appreciate
your inputs, suggestions or comments.
