[V8] Fuel injector problem

I just pulled the injectors, once more to check for leaks again. But, i 
found that one injector was missing the "pintle cap". I noticed this 
was on the last time i checked, but it was cracked so i suspect it got 
into the engine. So i hope it didn't do much damage to the engine since 
it was a plastic one. But i wonder if this will effect the spray 
pattern somehow?

Also i wonder why it still starts a bit long cold, even though no leaks 
through injectors or fuel pump..
