[V8] question on CV joints.

Has anyone seen a CV boot that could be zipped up over the rubber boots and 
chinched on the ends with  plastic ties- or do we have to invent them?
It seems every 1 1/2 years I have to replace a boot, which is actually risky, even if 
the car has not been driven. Can a tube raincoat be made with a zip up(?) fastener 
that would be flexible enough to spin and twist outside of the CV rubber boot? Or, 
spray on outside coating? Any outside the box ideas that would make this less of a 
mechanical feat?
Also, any ideas on the fuel pump check valve that acts up in the heat and gives less 
fuel pressure?   Bob
