[V8] Ignition Switch Replacement

Hi all, I'm in the process of replacing the ignition switch on my V8. I
can't seem to figure out how the ignition assembly comes out. The ignition
assembly is connected to a horizontal bar that goes to the steering column.
Is there a way to get the switch off the back of the tumbler without
removing the entire assembly? (that seems like it would be too easy) Also,
is there a DIY guide out there for this? (also seems like that would be too
easy) Thanks.
