So, this was discussed a little while back, but it always has me
thinking, What do you think will be the next V8 in say, 5-10 years? I'm
basically talking about a super freaking nice car ( the V8 was 50k+ when
new, which is likely more like a 70k car right now) that will devalue like
a rock because of what it is, maint, etc. I know the VW phaeton was one
such car we talked about. Then the Porsche Panamera, with its 128 some
buttons on the interior. Well, that got me to thinking there are surely
others out there that will drop. For some reason, a lot of the BMW models
hold their value, but the E46 M3's have been dropping to similar price
ranges for my Miata now. We are talking about a car that listed for about
28k vs a car that listed for over 50 being with in $2-3k six years later.
That's pretty astounding to me.

I think I'm going to keep my eye on the A8 W12 from 05-06 for the next 4
years and see what comes of that. Not sure what they listed for new, but
they are now in the 40-50s it looks like. Or the Audi RS4, or any number
of vehicles, just, so incredible when new, but they seem to be sort of a
novelty item, and the owners toss them pretty quickly for a new one a few
years down the road.

I'd put money on the W12 vehicle being around 100k or better when new. hmm.
