The car will actually run with a default program of 175 degrees if there is
no signal from the CTS. So, yes, that would be a bit rich when the car is
warm, and lean while it's warming up. I've rarely seen them in a color other
than white, and that one would be the OEM for your car. Probably been
replaced with an aftermarket one at some point in time.
It's the same one as most of the earlier (and a few later) Audi's, and I
also have a chart for ohming it out if anyone wants more temp values. And,
yes, it's a somewhat common thing to go, although these sensors seem to last
about 15-20 years IME.
