[V8] Transmission

Unless the car was towed with two wheels on the ground. BTDT on a friends car. It made some noise trying to move, but didn't. We swapped the center diff from another car with a bad trans (filled with OIL at a Quick lube) and the car went down the road fine. For a couple of miles, till the TB slipped. DOH!

So, the question is, what's the history of the car. Was it towed in for a no-start somewhere, then once running it wouldn't move? Or, was it being driven then didn't move afterwards?

BTW, that center diff swap wasn't all that bad. The hardest thing we ran into was pulling the driveshaft. The allen bolts didn't want to come out, but once we got the propane out, easy as pie.

>I don't know about everyone else - but - I would doubt that it is the center diff or transfer - pretty bullet proof. I would start by running the output test from the TCU. Check to make sure all of the solenoids are working. Next I would pull the pan - see how much fluid comes out, what condition is the fluid and most importantly how much crap is in the pan and cut the filter apart to look at it too. While you are in there - ohm out every solenoid just to double check. Good luck.
