[V8] strut bearing possibly? need a hand diagnosing..

Well Tom thanks for the confirmation on the center bolt movement. Looks like I'll be replacing the mount this week. Now I from what I understand it is mandatory to use a spring compressor correct? I have access to a lift but I'm guessing that will not take all the tension off of the spring. If I can't just unload the frot or use a c-clamp it looks like I get to buy a new tool :)
