All the more reason to replace the boots before they fail and pack
some new grease in there.
I can't remember the mileage when I did mine, but they were still in
fine shape. Should last another 20 years if I keep the boots fresh.
Another little thing you may want to think about is the radiator fan
(electric) motor. A long time ago, mine had a very cheap bearing seize
up which caused the fan motor to burn up.
At the time they wanted something like $500 for the part, and I really
doubt it is available now. If you replace the bearing and the
brushes, it will last indefinitely.
