Hey Mr. C....good to hear from you....kinda knew I would. I totally
agree with the "lifetime" stuff, and even the Dex-cool people who
change it every 2 years, have limited problems. I think anything
would be fine, if you changed it every 2 years, but many don't. I've
been told that the additive package in the blue far surpasses
anything in the green, and it's only a bit more, so why not?.....only
drawback is when it leaks inside, and stains the carpets....On the
Dexcool thing, GM will do anything in it's power to not honor the
warranty.......There are 3 people in court over the failed Bosch
injector thing on the Duramax, and GM has not been friendly in that
respect. .....My truck is totally stock, (except the Bilstein HD's
and the bomber tie rod's/front end that I had to replace when the
OEM's failed @ 72K! Mostly highway driving....I've talked with guy's
totally stock that failed @ 40K, and I've talked with guys @ 150K.
and are fine....just guessing someone's truck was built before/after
a siesta.....If someone wants to change over, they should flush the
system thoroughly as many of the coolants don't mix well(Dex is a
good example), I'm a 20-30K/x2/yr kind of guy when it comes to
coolant/brakes.......I'd much rather have to deal with the fluid,
than the replacement......all that being that it may.....I'll still
use the blue....why not?....Tom
