[V8] Coolant type?

The tie rod failure sounds more like a parts source thing.
The parts made here (in what we used to call the first world) with federal safety requirements concerning everything from metal alloys to assembly techniques probably are of higher quality than those made in a dirt floor factory by illiterate peasants in china.

Lucky for us though, the "market" has spoken and so has the electorate.  We will no longer be burdened with foolish and onerous  government oversight concerning trivial things like steering components.
The "market" will solve the problem just like it did to increase crash protection, fuel economy, reduce pollution, etc.
We all surely remember how quickly Detroit jumped to embrace all of those things.

At least, that is what the harvard school of business is telling me.
