[V8] fuel smell

Agreed that this is a big deal.
Also keep in mind that any repairs (like rubber lines over cut out rusty sections of metal line) need to hold a solid 100 psi.
Hose clamps over a rusty and non barbed piece of pipe does not sound like a safe long term solution to me.
The operating pressure if I remember is something like 65 psi, and any part of the system should be able to handle 4 times that.
I think the line and fitting max pressure ratings are around 800 psi for new parts for safety margin.
