[V8] Stereo wiring (power) question

Hey folks,
Finally got around to spending most of a day installing my replacement  
stereo (taking out the WHOLE Bose system - which is junk IMHO) .....running all 
 the patch cords, speaker wires, amps, ect. 
I initially wired my Nakamichi headunit to use the factory constant hot  
lead to both it's switched and un-switched power leads as I have done on other 
 headunits, but the battery draw seems to be too high even when the unit is 
 powered off. 
Here is my question: what is the best source of switched power in that  
general area of the dash? I tried all the factory radio wires (don't have the  
Bose headunit pinout info) and none seem to be 12V switched. This was at the 
end  of the day, so in reality I did not look to hard....
Anyone have some quick BTDT before I steal power from one of the foglight  
switches?
BTW, if some wants or needs both a V8 headunit / front speakers w marginal  
amp, or factory CD changer let me know - all will be sold for cheap.
