[V8] fuel smell

Do you smell it inside the car/trunk instead of under the hood?  My  
Lago car had a cracked vent hose(near the pump) when I first got it,   
and the Pearl car had the same problem.  As I recall, the vent hose  
get's kinda pinched between the tank and something, and that's where  
both vent's had cracked.  I'm now starting to get a whiff every now  
and then on the 5-speed and that will be my first place to look. 
(actually the first place I looked was under the hood, immediatly),  
as the footage of Nick's car will be imprinted forever in my brain.
