Hey Roger, nice find....sound's like you stole that truck. The Chevy
leather bucket seats are made of really soft leather/sides are vinyl
and are notorious for splitting/wearing out prematurely, so be aware
of that when searching used. The pic is mine currently @ 78K, and
they started splitting around 40K. When exiting, the seat compresses
and gets chaffed by the plastic thing that the controls are on. They
are very comfortable though, and have 2 "balloons" in them, one for
the Lumbar, one for the sides, and obviously some little air pump to
control them. They started using these seats in the LT series I
believe in 2000, and am not sure if the older ones had the same
problem. The Audi seats are still superior, and I too have
considered the swap, but it's not urgent, and will probably never get
around to it. I did just measure the heights, and in my
configuration, the Audi seat is a whole 3-4" lower than the truck(I'm
5-8"), so I'm guessing that a small platform may be needed to get the
seat up to the proper height. This could actually make mounting it
easier. Unless I really wanted a bench seat, and HAD to replace my
seats.....I'd go Audi.....Good luck
