[V8] Question of Theory: NAC...well, VERY little Audi Content

Hey Roger, nice find....sound's like you stole that truck.  The Chevy  
leather bucket seats are made of really soft leather/sides are vinyl  
and are notorious for splitting/wearing out prematurely, so be aware  
of that when searching used.  The pic is mine currently @ 78K, and  
they started splitting around 40K.  When exiting, the seat compresses  
and gets chaffed by the plastic thing that the controls are on.  They  
are very comfortable though, and have 2 "balloons" in them, one for  
the Lumbar, one for the sides, and obviously some little air pump to  
control them.  They started using these seats in the LT series I  
believe in 2000, and am not sure if the older ones had the same  
problem.  The Audi seats are still superior, and I too have  
considered the swap, but it's not urgent, and will probably never get  
around to it.  I did just measure the heights, and in my  
configuration, the Audi seat is a whole 3-4" lower than the truck(I'm  
5-8"), so I'm guessing that a small platform may be needed to get the  
seat up to the proper height.  This could actually make mounting it  
easier.  Unless I really wanted a bench seat, and HAD to replace my  
seats.....I'd go Audi.....Good luck
