Oh yes, I remember quite well. Out of probably 50 V8's I've pressure
washed under the hood, including both of my own many times each, exactly one got
the crank sensor connections full of water. That would be Bob's. Drove me
crazy trying to figure out how a car could run so well below 3k rpm and so
horribly above without a single code.

Paul,
Might be a long shot..............but I had water in the connectors to the
crank sensors and it caused a similar problem, would only run up to 3000
rpm then cut out, almost like a rev limiter. I'm sure Keith remembers that
one!

Idles fine.
Wont accelerate.
Been through it all. Chased all kinks of codes. Original ecu was bad. New
one gave me 2113(iirc).
Changed isv, then no codes.

distributers, mfs, knock sensors, isv. cps, opened front of engine up. Belt
on correct.
Changed cats...New IM gaskets. Good IM.

You can go to the archives and search "running issues"

Everyone had great advice. Gave me alot of leads, but no luck! AHHH!

Bowing to the Audi Gods.

Hello All,

Well after almost 8 months of working on and off with this "running
issue", I am giving up.
I tried to prevent this lovely from the "pick'n'pull".

Clean car. 150k+- 2 owners. But I believe a monkey "wrench" did something
to the car that I have been unable to correct.

It is for sale locally. But if no luck, it will be a parts car.

marketplace add coming.

Too much? offer?
