What the manufacturers get is to develop and refine the electric car.
When fuel cells become available, all they have to do is yank the gas
motor and battery pack and replace it with a fuel cell (and probably a
much much smaller battery pack or super capacitor)
I find it very sad that there is no push for hydrogen. It is the only
viable long term solution so why not quit wasting valuable and limited oil
resources as fuel?
Even though electrolysis is not efficient, it works, and thousands of wind
mills could be making and storing hydrogen fuel instead of trying to
integrate directly to the power grid. Two big problems get solved with
this simple solution but it seems "the market" would rather have us pay
though the nose for oil until it is all gone.
