Hello All,
New caps and rotors and she running! Months ago we changed the dist, but not the cap as was suggested. (Sorry/Thanks Ron)
Runs fairly well. Smooth idle. seems a bit rough btwn 2500-3500rpms. Maybe a miss. But nice over that. Got up to 70, nice and smooth. Smoke cleared up.
Although it has a high hydrocarbon count. 500+- at idle. 325-350 at 2k rpms. Yikes. A friend gave her a sniffer test.
I did put in 1/2 quart of toluene into 5 gals of chevron 91(highest I can get locally). Would this cause a high hydrocarbon count?
Would like to drive longer, but no plates or temp reg. Need a smog to get the plates. Maybe a midnight drive over a few summits.
I will try to find the miss. Then go from there.
Thanks for everyones help as always.
Paul, back on the slippery slope.
