[V8] operating with timing belt cover off?

 With all due respect Kyle, that's quite a statement.  The urq of which you speak was touched by many prior to me, but more specifically, touched by many *after* it was restored by me several years ago.  It was rescued from near death a couple years ago, and met a price point (sum of parts) that still holds, and I was cut short of a total restoration after several discussions with it's current owner.  

To the subject at hand, you are free to disagree with my knowledge of the 5ktq or the v8 timing belt SI and advice as posted, I'm pretty sure it's sound.

Scott, not to be a total ass (well actually, yeah I am), but after looking over this hacked up urq that my friend just brought home, I'm not sure that I would be inclined to trust any piece of advice you give anyone on this list.  If this is a testament to any of your work, god help anyone who falls victim to it.  I expected more based on how good of a game you talk on here, but I guess there is a difference between talking a good game and actually being able to follow through.
