[V8] Brake Hose Replacement

My old front brake hose had been bent over and cracked causing an instant loss of 
braking control. This was right where two separate mechanics worked over my CV 
joint and suspension. My fault for having brittle hoses, but I can remember when 
mechanics would have pointed this out.
How can the old hose fittings be taken off the fragile brake tubing connectors 
without damage? It looks like PB spray and high risk wrenching on the two flats. I 
guess the tubes are left in the brackets untouched. Any experienced tips?

Check these hoses today, they are probably 10 years too old.  Bob
