[V8] Brake Hose Replacement

I have the same job coming up. My son Quigs just got his new driver's ticket
so the V8 is back in use.
CV joint boot is ripped open too.

I use the LPS#2 as a penetrant. I've hit the fittings already a month ago
when changing over the wheels to winter. Heating up any rusted fitting is
also a good thing, but using a heat gun I would think a torch in that area
is a no go.

LPS#2 or #3 I also use on the rear brakes - all over the calipers! So much
rain and gunk out there this keeps them from turning into a rust ball.

PS for some reason "Verboten" has become my #2 most watched video. Big hit
in Germany.

Subject: Re: [V8] Brake Hose Replacement

My old front brake hose had been bent over and cracked causing an instant
loss of
braking control. This was right where two separate mechanics worked over my
CV
joint and suspension. My fault for having brittle hoses, but I can remember
when
mechanics would have pointed this out.
How can the old hose fittings be taken off the fragile brake tubing
connectors
without damage? It looks like PB spray and high risk wrenching on the two
flats. I
guess the tubes are left in the brackets untouched. Any experienced tips?

Check these hoses today, they are probably 10 years too old. Bob
