 Berzrappp! Problem solved I'll betcha.

We have been having a window fogging problem since the beginning of cool
weather. At first it was only on rare occasions but gradually it has become
worse.

I had the car inspected for a heater core issue as I thought I could, or at
least I Imagined that I could smell coolant, very, very faintly.

Well, the heater core was leaking slightly, which explained the slight loss
of coolant over time. But the window fogging issue has remained.

At some point last spring we began to experience some issues with the vacuum
locks not working properly, primarily on the right hand side and tailgate.

Soooooooo, since the heater core is new, I began to wonder about other
issues and thought the recirc flap might be acutated by a vacuum motor.
I'll bet the motor may have failed and is the cause of the vacuum leaks on
the right side. Or perhaps the vacuum line has failed somewhere near the
vacuum motor.

I doubt it is a total vacuum pump failure as the left side doors lock
properly.

Maybe I have been around Audis too long and am thinking like one.

Roger
