[V8] FS Rules not clear?

Why have any rules at all then?  

If you don't want to follow the rules of the site owners and
administrators, then will all due respect, go somewhere else with rules
more to your liking or lack thereof.  The rules here are very basic and
simple, and keep it civil for the most part.  About the only time the
list gets a bit uncivil (both here and the main list) is when some people
think they're above the rules or choose to ignore them.  

Posting ads has always been tolerated to the extent that it's not more
than a pointer to a main ad off list or in the for sale section, when it
goes beyond that, it's a problem.

Why should the majority of the people on this list have to modify their
settings, set up filters etc. just because some people think the rules
don't apply to them?
