[V8] V8 nose job!

Well, the V8 nose job is scheduled for next month.  Last February I casually
slid the car into an ice berm and damaged the front bumper and left
directional signal lamp.  The insurance company fell over backwards and made
me whole on the loss, but we were in the process of moving and after the
move the car sat in the garage until late October.  The car actually sat
still after April because I was so busy with this current antique house
restoration there was no need for the V8 to do much of anything except rest.
 
The body shop is ready, and the car will be flat bedded there sometime in
mid December and I have decided that since "we're going to be in there", I
should source some new European headlights for this car.  Besides, before
the car will pass inspection, I will need to replace the headlight switch
and install new relays anyway, so I might as well put the headlights in
anyway.
 
Sooo.  I wonder if anyone has a GOOD set of European headlights lying around
that have no friends.  They might have a friend here in eastern Maine.  If
you have a set, shoot me a price and let me see if I am REALLY dedicated to
the concept.  Neither my wife nor I drive very much after dark at all. I
have been surprised at how little after dark driving I do now that we have
moved to this big old farmhouse.  I think it is probably more related to the
passing of my parents two years ago, but the night time driving has slipped
mightily, so while I WANT the European looks, a new set simply would be too
much money, I imagine.  Let me know what ya got if you would.
 
Another question:  how universal to Audi's of the years 90-94 is the
headlight stalk/switch?  I need one of those, too, and will by a used known
good example if I can find one.
