Hey Brad, get a can of non-flammable electric contact cleaner before
you condemn either of these. The wiper switch(since you have the
cover off) is easy, just spray the contacts while switching it on/
off. The blower motor you need to lift up the rain tray under the
hood, and find the rubber elbow shaped vent tube on the drivers side
of the heaterbox. Pull it off at the bottom and look in the hole and
you are looking at the top brush on the blower motor. Open all the
windows/sunroof and while the key's on and blower's on, spray right
onto that brush while tapping it with a pencil/wooden dowel. That
got it running on the Pearl car after it sat in a field for 6-7 yrs
in the PNW. 5-speed had the spring pop out of the top brush and
after poking that back down into the holder, and some spray, got it
working. Both the parts car and my Lago car sat for years, and both
worked intermittantly till I sprayed them. My tablesaw(that's sat in
my damp basement for at least 5 years didn't work a few weeks ago,
and after disassembling it 1/2 way, decided to just stick the nozzle
of the contact cleaner in and aim toward the brushes while spinning
the blade.......sparked right up. If someone on this list hadn't
given me that hint, I'd have ended up replacing all those blower
motors....Tom
