That is correct, the message must come in from a valid member's address or
else it is moderated. So far it seems that a filter that moderates messages
with no subject would stop the messages, but I suspect that eventually the
spammers will begin using a valid subject.
As agreed with Keith T earlier I can set a member's account to be moderated
... that means that I must approve every message which is posted by a
moderated member ... which makes work for me and adds delay to the posts.
I'll make sure Gerry is aware of the situation and the action I'll take to
eliminate any further spam from making it to the group. So far it seems
this issue exists only on the V8 audifans group ... not sure why that is.
Let me re-iterate my earlier recommendation / request on this sort of event.
Please do not post a request to take an administrative action to the group.
It only serves to amplify the noise ... 99% of the group members can do
nothing to address the issue. Please send administrative requests to
v8-owner at audifans.com or directly to my address.
