Very true Keith, fuel pumps from Bosch are spec'd as Volume @ x.xbar Pressure.
My bosch book shows
0580254040 in tank fuel pump as 102LPH @ 6.5Bar
And the monster "Bosch 44 Motorsport" Pump for comparison
0580254044 is 200LPH @ 5Bar

The OE Fuel pump (Bosch 0 580 254 040) puts out 6.5 Bar.
Fuel pumps dont put out pressure, fuel pumps are free flowing. The
pressure rating on the pump simply shows what the LPH is at a tested pressure.

Saw an eBay auction for a FPR that showed application to our V8s in
addition to some 1990's Porsches. It looks the same, but is cheaper.
AutohausAZ indicates it is a 3.8 bar regulator. The Bosch p/n for it
ends in 287 whereas the one "spec'd" for the V8 ends in 298.
(0280160287 vs.
0280160298)

I can't find a pressure rating for the V8 one. There are other sites
that indicate the 287 part can be used on the 90-94 V8. It's about 50
bux cheaper, so worth exploring IMO.

Thanks in advance for any input.

Ed
