[V8] light switch

I guess it had to happen.  My light switch is starting to fail - but only
the dash lights are affected so far.  Wiggling the switch brings them
back, and a good bump turns them off again.  Anyone else had this
particular problem?  I have stock headlights with no other modifications. 
I should probably start looking for a switch too.  Is this V8 specific?

Of course the problem cropped last week when I took the V8 out on a long
overdue road trip to Stanley, at night.  It has been 5 years or so since
it has been out of Boise.  On the plus side, I got 20MPG while setting a
personal best time record of 2 hours and 4 minutes over highway 21.  No
small feat considering the number of 20MPH hairpin turns.  This is a total
elevation gain of about 5000 ft with three good summits and lots of
twistys.
