adding to what tom said, my v8q 5 speed when filled to the full mark used 1
qt every 1000 miles. after the TSB (yes had my v8q b4 the TSB came out), i
filled it to just barely over the add line and my consumption went down to
about 1qt every 3500-4000 miles. i have always used synthetic oil. after
moving over to redline oil about 100K or 10 years ago, my consumption went
to 1/2 qt between that mileage (when i did changes). i however did not
notice any dripping.

on the injectors, the best thing i ever did for any of my cars, german or
'murican was get the injectors flow match at http://www.witchhunter.com/.

on a family members tahoe, 2001 with over 300K miles on it (original
everything) he went from 18 to about 21 MPGs. flow matching wont fix a
leaky injector, but sure makes a diff in performance and economy.

Shayne
