Will it continue to run as long as you give it some throttle?
Yes, the V8Q has an ISV, it sits near the top of the engine right behind the rad fan.
If the engine runs when you give it throttle, it may be the ISV, but out may also be that the throttle body/linkage is sticking so the computer doesn't see the throttle closed switch. There might also be something with the tranny losing the engine ...
