That's weird because I thought he bought it new from the dealer that way!  Black with white/cream interior.  Maybe they were Karmann badges and I just assumed Wolfsburg?  Since I didn't own it, I can't confirm but it sure was fast.

I feel obligated to say something since this was always a bit of a sore
spot in the Corrado community. There is no such thing as a Wolfsburg
Corrado. They were all built at Karmann. There was just a bunch of people
who slapped Wolfsburg emblems on the C's either because they thought it
made them look cool or because they thought it'd make it easier to sell.
Unfortunately a good many people then bought the "Wolfsburg" Corrados and
thought they were legit.

G60's are definitely a blast to drive though...when they're running!  (mine
rarely ran in the 10 years I owned it, but I still miss it anyway).
