You hit the lottery, I must have parted a couple dozen of the automatic
5KS's back in the day, almost all of them because of a dead transmission.
 The seal leaks into the diff and vice versa.  It was the Achilles heal,
that and the Pento$in system.  
 
Without a stick and Quattro, keeping a type 44 on the road isn't
something I consider worth it, plenty of other lumps out there which
won't attack your time and wallet like a type 44 will.
