[V8] Windshield crack 8 inches.

A few years ago I had a friend who was the manager of a Novus Auto Glass. I
had a rather long (at least 12") crack in my windshield that went to the
edge. Because we were friends he went to the trouble of fixing it, but he
made to mention that I shouldn't expect the results to be all that great.
Surprisingly though, it hadn't leaked or gotten any bigger when I sold the
car several years later.

Basically, if you know the right person it technically *can* be done, but
even with my story above, don't expect too much. It's hit or miss at best.
