[V8] gearbox swap questions (not what you might think)

well the gf is bitching a bit about a manual conversion. my concern with that is i need to find a computer that is setup to fuel the 3.6 for a manual, right? and Im guessing the center tunnel has to be swapped right? (Cant just hammer out the smaller areas?
