[V8] Time to say goodbye

Hey Roger, been out of town for a few weeks....In Boise ID and got to  
hang out with Dave(which was great) and I'm with him on the car  
thing......If I"m not mistaken, your other car is also an Audi, and  
personally if I didn't have 2 keepers, I'd be driving my truck right  
now(which wouldn't be all that bad, but)....I'm back to driving Lago  
which just hit 111K today. Even "meticulously" maintained Audi's  
still crap out on you.   Aside from the terminally troubled youth  
that smashed a pumpkin on the car while I was gone and broke both  
tail lights, the car is pretty much mint.....fresh belt a few K  
ago....totally happy.  The 5-speed has a broken rack mount that I'll  
go into later, which is why I'm happy I've got Lago to drive for  
now.    I decided awhile ago, that nobody is going to pay me what  
Lago's worth in my mind, and will keep it forever.  Everytime someone  
comes to visit and they borrow it, they tell me that it was so much  
better than anything they could have rented/ owned/, and they get to  
"blow the cobwebs out".......If there are other cars in your barn,  
then maybe you should rid yourself of that beast, but if the wagon is  
going to be your only "car", then I'd think twice about getting rid  
of a "perfectly running vehicle" to assume that your other 20yo Audi  
will also always run perfect so you and your wife don't have to split  
duty on your truck.....Plus, I'll only believe it when you actually  
do it.......Ha...Tom
