Fighter pilot I believe was Campazola or something like that...he  
lived in Bellevue,WA or somewhere near, as I looked @ his Pearl 5- 
speed with a whopping 100K on it back in 03 or so before he got  
shipped out.  As I recall it was $6500(maybe $8500?) and not only  
mint, but just had the belt and the clutch slave cylinder done @ a  
shop in Bellevue......I was still new to the Audi, and wasn't sure I  
really wanted it....Ha.  There was no shortage of cars getting sold @  
the time, and I thought I'd just wait till the prices came down a bit  
before I got one of them 5-speeds that everyone was raving about.   
Occasionally when searching the old archives, I get sucked in as I  
find a "conversation" that I remember, and it's like it was  
yesterday.   I would never have kept my original  Lago car if it  
weren't for this forum, and I'm totally grateful for everyone,new and  
old, for helping keeping it/all V8's  alive.  Sincerely, Tom
